My father is a master carpenter and growing up I got to help him remodel and renovate homes for his clients. I was able to witness him visualize changes in his mind, explain it to the customers, and then transform their homes into beautiful places. I watched as they were in awe as to how he could make a simple room a masterpiece, and it all started in just his mind. I was in awe with them; I could not understand how he could envision these transformations and know what would look best. But as I grew older, I picked up his ability to see these changes in my mind and was finally able to visualize with him.
At the same time as I was assisting my father, I was also watching shows on HGTV about selling, renovating, and flipping homes. There was something that drew me into it all. I loved watching people’s reactions to their new homes or newly remodeled spaces for the first time and the excitement of it all.
Working with my father and watching HGTV is what brought my interests to real estate, but before I entered the field, I went on a bit of a journey. I attended college where I met my girlfriend and received a degree in criminal justice. We moved to Illinois as she attended law school. In the meantime, I spent five years in the soft drink industry between New York and Illinois. A majority of that time was in sales with my final title being Area Sales Manager. I enjoyed my time in soft drink sales and the experience I got from it was great. Although it was not the type of sales I wanted to be in, it was a solid stepping stone into Real Estate as it allowed me to meet and interact with people from all walks of life. My biggest concern with it was it was not about making people happy, it was about keeping my company happy. I want to make the customer happy. I want to use my passion to help you find your home.
